The short version

Common website tools that involve tracking stay switched off until you say yes to them through the consent notice. We do not sell your personal information for money. This website is operated by Karns Foods, based in central Pennsylvania. Our website is maintained for us by our marketing agency.
Information you give us
If you fill out a form, sign up for our emails, apply for a job, or contact us, we receive what you type, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any details you include. We use it to respond to you and to provide what you asked for.
Information collected automatically, and your choice
Like most websites, this site can use cookies and similar tools that collect information automatically, such as which pages are visited and roughly how visitors move through the site. When you first visit, a consent notice asks whether you accept these tools. The optional ones stay off until you choose Accept. If you choose Reject, the site still works normally, with one exception: our email signup forms are provided by Constant Contact, so they will not appear until you accept Advertising. Everything else, including shopping lists, contact forms, job applications, and online ordering, works either way. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the consent icon in the corner of any page.

- Google Ads: helps us measure and place our advertising. (Advertising)
- StackAdapt: helps us measure and place our advertising; used on our weekly ad pages. (Advertising)
- Constant Contact: powers our email signup and mailing list. (Advertising)
- Google reCAPTCHA: anti-bot protection built into the Constant Contact signup form. It loads only when that form loads, so if you reject Advertising it never runs. Its cookies are security cookies. (Necessary, provided by Google)

How we use information
To respond to you, to provide our products and services, to understand how the website is used so we can improve it, and to advertise our business. That is it.
When we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with the service providers named above, who process it on our behalf, with the agency that maintains this website for us, and when the law requires it. Some of the advertising tools above may share information with advertising partners in a way that certain state privacy laws treat as a "sale" or "share." You can turn these off by rejecting the Advertising category in the consent notice.
Emails from us
If you join our email list, every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails; we may still need to email you about something you asked for.
Embedded content
Some pages include content hosted elsewhere, such as YouTube videos or maps. When you view a page with embedded content, that provider may set its own cookies, the same as if you visited their site directly.
How long we keep information
We keep what you send us for as long as we need it for the reason you sent it, and we keep the dated record of your cookie choice as proof of that choice.
