The Karns Family lives in, works in and loves Central PA. With such a connection to the local community, we know and understand the importance of lending support in a variety of ways.
Donation Request Information
If your non-profit group or community organization is interested in a donation for your cause or event, please make a request through our online donation request application. Please submit requests one month prior to your event.

Solicitation Requests
While it is our goal to help as many organizations as possible, we must also be mindful to the needs of our customers that do not want to be solicited on a regular basis while they are at our stores to purchase groceries.
The following are our guidelines for non-profit group solicitations at our stores:
- Requests to solicit can be made by clicking here (Requests are accepted a maximum of 12 weeks in advance)
- Stores are limited to 2 group solicitation events per month.
- Groups are permitted to a maximum of 1 event every 6 months, based on calendar availability.
- Groups/Organizations must be a non-profit, and must support the local store's region – third party fundraising/collection groups are not approved.
- Groups/Organizations must abide by the Solicitation Code of Conduct

Karns Charity Golf Outing
Every year Karns partners with our vendors for our charity golf tournament. Thank you to our sponsors for helping Karns Foods to raise over $75,000 towards the support of local charities!
Bags For Books
Your reusable bag will earn a local library 3 cents each time you use it!
Bag Hunger
Twice each year, Karns sells bags of food as part of our Bag Hunger program. In 2023, $90,000 worth of food was given to Project Share, New Hope Ministries, Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank in Perry County, Cocoa Packs, Middletown Food Bank and Bethesda Mission.
Special Olympics
In 2023, Karns Helped Area M Special Olympics raise $37,699!
Pet Food Donations
Karns collects pet food throughout the year for pets in need.
MDA
Karns helped the MDA raise $30,065 in 2023 with the Shamrock Sale!
