What is Karns Fresh Rewards?

Karns Fresh Rewards is a program designed to allow you to redeem Max Dollars simply by typing in your phone number at checkout.
(Or you can scan your Karns Fresh Rewards card.)


What are qualifying purchases?

You can earn points for your purchases. One point is the equivalent to $1 spent on participating purchases. Excluded items include: milk, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, money orders, postage, lottery, pharmacy, EZ Pass, tax, and any items prohibited by law. Karns reserves the right to have additional point exclusions. Points expire 18 months from the end of the month they were earned.


How long will it take to add rewards or coupons to my account?

Rewards and coupons can be added to your account and will be immediately available for redemption.


Do Max Dollars Expire?

Your points expire 18 months after they have been earned. Depending on how many points you have determines the level of your Max Dollar reward. Be sure to use them or lose them!


How do I add Max Dollars to my card like I did in the past?

We no longer "add the Max Dollar reward" to the card.

Points are kept in a single bucket of points.

How many points you have determines which rewards you are eligible to receive.

You may redeem one or several rewards on a single transaction. You can ONLY use up to one of each level. Depending on the number of points you have, you may be eligible for several levels; however, when a reward is used, the appropriate number of points is removed and that becomes your new point balance. For instance, you may have 600 pts. This means you're eligible for both the $5 Max Dollar reward (250pts) as well at the $15 Max Dollar reward (550pts). But you would need 800 points to use both on the same transaction. As soon as you use one of these, you will no longer have enough points for the other reward.


What happened to the Max Dollars Rewards I put on my card in the old system? Where are they? When do they Expire?

Max Dollars were transferred as best as possible in November of 2021. If you had them on your card, they should have loaded on your account in the new system. Most people have used theirs by now, but many others of you have not used yours. The cashier will be able to see them on your account and will get prompted to ask you to use them as soon as your order reaches the amount of the reward. EG: If you have $10 Max Dollars on your account, as soon as your order reaches $10 in eligible items, you should get asked if you'd like to use it.

These rewards from the old system are set to expire on 5/21/2022.


Are purchases excluded from the promotions?

Yes, items including: milk, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, money orders, postage, lottery, pharmacy, EZ Pass, tax, and any items prohibited by law are excluded from the promotions.

How do I check my points?

Points are listed on the REWARDS page of your account. Rewards is listed on the left navigation after you log in.


What happens if someone on my account used points but I didn’t want them to?

Once points have been turned into Max Dollars and used that cannot be undone. If you plan on using your points for a specific event or value please communicate that with everyone who uses the account!


What if my purchase is not recorded?

Please take your register receipt to any Karns customer service office within 30 days of purchase. They will record your receipt information and provide a manual point adjustment to your account. These manual points can take up to 24-72 hours to be applied to your account.


How do I get a Reward Card?

You can pick up a Karns Fresh Reward card at any in-store register or customer service desk. However, you really don't need one. In fact, we'd love to see you just use your phone number at the pin pad when you are checking out. This eliminates the "lost card" issue and ensures all your points are in one place.

To create a Fresh Rewards account, simply provide the cashier with your phone number twice; once to be your account number, another time to put it in the phone field, and a quick scan of your Driver's License in-between the phone numbers is all you need.

Providing an email will allow you to receive a birthday reward, and emails two times per week containing your points balance and our current sale items.


How do I create an account?

What information is needed to create an account?

First name, last name, phone number and street address are required to create a Fresh Rewards account. Email address and date of birth are optional items. (Spoiler alert – without an email and birthday, you won't receive your birthday reward!)


How do I update my personal information?

If you need to update personal information log into your account and click on "Your Account" and then click "Account," in the right nav to update or add new information and click "Save." Reminder: Email is used as your login to the Karns Fresh Rewards account so changing this field will also change your login information.


How do I change my password?

After you log in, simply click on "Your Account" and then click "Change Password," enter your current password and create and confirm your new password in the appropriate fields, and click "Change Password" at the bottom of the page. Note: Passwords must have at least 8 characters, made up of at least the following: one capital and one lower case letter, a number, and a special character.


What do I do if I forgot my password?

Simply select the "Forgot Password – Reset Now" link located under the sign-in area. Select the method of verification you would like to use and follow the prompts. A verification code will be sent to you. Enter it in the box and submit.

Note. If you do not see the "Forgot Password" email, please check your spam folder, as some email providers may mark the message as spam.


What do I do if I can't remember my user name or Karns Fresh Rewards account number?

Your user name is your email address or full 12 digit card number, or phone number. Should you forget which email address you used at registration, please visit your Karns location's customer service desk and someone will assist you.


How do I add a card to my existing account?

We are looking to eliminate having multiple cards. If you want to share your account and earn and use points with another person, please share your phone number with that other person.

Can the program change?

Karns may at its discretion terminate, change, alter, limit or modify the program including rules, regulations, terms & conditions or benefits at any time without notice.


What happens if my card is somehow used during a fraudulent transaction?

If it is discovered that a rewards card is being used during any fraudulent transaction all points on that account will be voided.


What happens if I end up with a negative balance on my account?

If an account is put into a negative balance due to a customer accessing a single Max Dollar redemption multiple times the customer is responsible for the negative balance.


Terms

  1. Karns may, at its discretion terminate, alter, limit, or modify the Karns Fresh Rewards program including rules, regulations, terms & conditions, or benefits at any time without notice.

  2. Karns Fresh Rewards members are eligible to receive discounts, coupons, and other special benefits when presenting their card at time of purchase.

  3. The Karns Fresh Rewards Card is not necessary for advertised sale prices unless notated.

  4. No purchase is necessary to receive The Karns Fresh Rewards.

  5. Purchases of beer, wine, tobacco, MoneyGram, money orders, utility payments, postage, gift cards, lottery, Ticketmaster, Western Union and other items prohibited by law are not eligible toward rewards.

  6. Program benefits are unique, account-specific, and nontransferable.

  7. Any rewards lost or stolen will not be replaced or reissued. Karns Fresh Rewards Card must be presented at the time of purchase.

  8. By providing your contact information, you are eligible to receive marketing communications, including offers and promotional messages. You have authorized Karns to send these to you. You may elect to stop receiving such communication at any time by logging onto www.karnsfoods.com/rewards

  9. Privacy is paramount, and we will never sell, share, or convey your information to anyone. Your information is solely used for rewarding you with customized coupons, offers, personalized content and store promotions from Karns.
